Job opening: Year Round Part Time Studio Assistant
Position Description: Studio Assistants should be fun loving, cheerful, energetic and eager to learn while
working hard to provide the best customer service possible to customers looking for a creative
experience. Studio Assistants assists and instruct customers on painting pottery, fusing glass and inform
them of all the creative opportunities available at the studio (classes, kids camps, birthday parties, paint
night, etc etc). Other duties include: cleaning studio and supplies, unloading and loading kilns, wash
dishes and tables, help run kids and adult programs and contribute towards providing a friendly
welcoming and fun atmosphere for customers.
Other duties may include: Hosting event parties for kids or adults, restocking shelfs, opening and
closing studio, running the point of sale system independently and glazing pottery.
This is not a seasonal position and applicants should be reliable and accountable and able to make a 1 year
commitment to the job. Weekly hours 15 – 25 hours per week.
Must be Minimum Requirements:
No art or ceramic experience is required.
Must be 18+years of age
Provide excellent customer service
Eager to learn and handle stress well
Able to work regular weekend and evenings shifts
Previous retail/restaurant experience is preferred
Pay Rate: Minimum wage $16.28 an hour plus TIPS during initial training period. Once fully trained hourly pay increases depending on experience and work performance.
